Coated Drums
The drive (head) and tail drums, used at the ends of the conveying system, are usually coated in order to increase the friction between the drum and the conveyor belt. Available coatings: smooth rubber, grooved rubber, and ceramic.
Uncoated Drums
Used in any part of the conveyor. They have a lower coefficient of friction due to the direct contact of the conveyor belt with the steel tube.
